Parallel bars

These are medical devices specifically used in physical and occupational rehabilitation therapy to assist individuals to re-learn to walk and for gait training, as well as to regain balance, strength, range of motion, and mobility. Being permanent or portable, parallel bars can be platform-mounted, floor-mounted, or wall-mounted and can be height adjustable with electrical and battery power, or with manual manipulation. They are often used in therapy for individuals recovering from post-surgery, muscle atrophy, illness, disease, nerve damage, or other disabilities or conditions.
